The Beebe Suite
In 1893, a fire destroyed The Arcade in downtown Buffalo, where one of Buffalo’s most prominent jewelers and silversmiths, T.C. Tanke, had his business. Tanke, whose family owned 288 Linwood Avenue for many years, relocated his business in the new Beaux Arts Brisbane Building, designed by architect Milton Beebe, which opened for business in 1896 on the former site of The Arcade.
The Beebe Suite, includes two intimate rooms that reference the past with an antique full-sized brass bed and French armoire. The suite features a sitting room with love seat and East Lake marble top table, a skirted pedestal tub, and a leaded glass window in the bathroom. Suite includes a mini-fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, cable and flat screen TV.
